Without prejudice, we still hold Chief Blair accountable. The
people pay for police services to respect and protect the rights of the
people and to prevent crime concomitant with the first duty. The reverse
of this actually happened on the Toronto G20 weekend. Police hurt,
detained or arrested, imprisoned and abused innocent bystanders while
allowing criminals to conduct their criminal activities unhindered. In
that process real criminals went free. No innocent persons should have
been arrested. We have a petition to deal with that at the political
level:

. Due and fair process must prevail.
In the meantime we need to cooperate with fellow Torontonians, our
police officers doing heir jobs, identify, apprehend, and prosecute
those who vandalized our city.
The tone has changed today.
... and police have said they will focus on the second part of
the job we expected police to do. Citizens can surely help out and hold
their heads high.Police are asking the public to identify
people responsible for the vandalism.
Now we're talking!

We absolutely need to apprehend the people who were trashing our home
city. They should have been stopped by police AND citizens in the
event but for sure we can all band together now, ordinary citizens with
ordinary police officers (who are from our midsts as ...citizens) and
identify and locate these alleged criminals.
Get the alleged vandals into court to give their account and let
justice take its course.
We need to believe in the system we are fighting for.
D/Sgt. Gary Giroux, of Toronto Police Services, released over a dozen
images of people responsible for damage of, and theft from a scout
car on Queen St. W., near Spadina Ave.
“The focus of the investigative team is to identify, apprehend, and
prosecute anyone involved in criminal activity in the city of
Toronto largely related to the events that took place on Saturday the
26th of June, 2010,” Giroux said.
“The persons responsible for the assault of officers, the burning of
our marked police vehicles and damage done to downtown buildings and
the surrounding areas will be held accountable for their criminal
conduct.”
The team, led by Insp. Randy Franks, is comparing thousands of images
of crimes in progress with those of unmasked people.

People: We need to see each vandalism suspect given their day in
court. People will see the criminals, not part of any lawful
demonstrating group. This is how you correct the record of public
opinion which falsely tarnishes descent, free Canadians who were
bystanders or a voice for positive change during the G20 Summit, June
2010.

* The average Toronto copper on G20 duties did a good job.
Their leaders' decisions were very bad. This thing should not have happened
in Toronto. It was a big mistake of leadership, not cops. THANKS to the
individual Toronto copper who served the people of Toronto well. To those
small percentage who abused their authority, take up another career.
