Omar Khadr was a child soldier who in a war caused the death of some people who were shooting at him and killing all the people in his group: that's war.

It is not a crime for a combatant to take a life in a war.

Omar Khadr is a rehabilitated Child Soldier.

A child associated with an armed force or armed group refers to any person below 18 years of age who is, or who has been, recruited or used by an armed force or armed group in any capacity, including but not limited to children, boys and girls, used as fighters, cooks, porters, spies or for sexual purposes.

Regardless of how children are recruited and of their roles, child soldiers are victims, whose participation in conflict bears serious implications for their physical and emotional well-being.

Canada is signatory to the protocols for Child Soldiers.

Note: Prime Minister Harper and his Cabinet  have behaved despicably in this matter. Moreover the Harper and his people show willingness to violate international law when it suits them personally.

In the meantime this government is being seen in the news of the Mike Duffy trial as a flagrant abuser of the public purse in the most disgraceful and arrogantly entitled manner.

I am so fed up with seeing around the world horrible actors in government who exploit the population in any manner they choose for their personal whims. The Canadian federal government system and players need changing because it is wholly corrupt, absolutely.
